On top of Auyan-Tepui near the precipice of Angel Falls in Canaima National Park, Venezuela. In February 1997, on an expedition with renowned skydiving/BASE jumping cinematographer Tom Sanders, Bruce became the 101st person to BASE jump from the top of Angel Falls--the tallest waterfall in the world.

Bruce Hunt is a freelance writer/author, photographer, and illustrator, living in Tampa, Florida. He has written and photographed eight books: Adventure Sports in Florida (1996 Pineapple Press), Visiting Small-Town Florida (1997 Pineapple Press), Visiting Small-Town Florida, Volume 2 (1999 Pineapple Press), Florida's Finest Inns and Bed & Breakfasts (2001 Pineapple Press), Visiting Small-Town Florida, Revised Edition (Pineapple Press 2003), Florida Then & Now (2007 Westcliffe Publishers), Florida's Finest Inns and Bed & Breakfasts, Second Edition (2009 Pineapple Press), and Visiting Small Town Florida, Third Edition (Pineapple Press 2011). Bruce's travel, history, and restaurant features appeared regularly in DuPont Registry Luxury Living in Tampa Bay Magazine, and his work has been published in numerous other publications, including the St. Petersburg Times, Tampa Tribune, Backpacker Magazine, Rock & Ice Magazine, Skydiving Magazine, Parachutist Magazine, and Celebrity Car Magazine, among others.

Bruce is also a frequent speaker and slide show presenter for historical societies, libraries, booksellers, and writer's groups, and he has taught travel writing seminars.
